More Information on Reflexology...
Reflexology is therapeutic technique to promote relaxation and healing of the body, mind, and soul. It is a safe, natural, and effective practice that helps you take responsibility for your health. Observing and working the reflex points can provide some clues as to your state of health. Reflexology used in this way lets you analyze what your health issues may be and can reinforce other holistic health assessments. Medical doctors are the only practitioners allowed to diagnose disease; when performing reflexology, however, many types of foot ailments can be recognized which will give the receiver the opportunity to seek proper treatment. Also, working the relfexes brings about normal functioning of all the organs and glands in the body. It improves nerve functioning and blood supply and induces a state of relaxation as it calms the central nervous system.
Meet Rocci...Rocci studied the Ingram Method and was certified in Dallas, TX in 1988 at Asten School of Natural Therapeutics. Some of her other areas of expertise include Massage Therapy, Shiatsu, Trigger Points, Applied Kinesiology, and Yoga, complimenting her practice of Reflexology.
Our feet carry us through life. They walk us down life's path and bring us our independence. As a reflexologist, I have noticed over the last 23 years of practice how the shape and condition of our feet tell a story or reflect our path in life. Our feet give us the foundation upon which our whole body and, philosophically, our life rests.
Our feet bring us back to Mother Earth and into our waking world each morning as we rise out of our slumber. They keep us in our bodies and tell the brain what the body is doing. They allow us to walk out of bad situations, run away from threats, and dance when we feel inspired.
Reflexology is grounding therapy. Most of us live our lives almost entirely in our heads, constantly thinking, planning, dreaming, and talking. We need time to reconnect to our roots and get grounded in our being; one of the best ways to become centered is to concentrate on our feet.
