Class Descriptions
ZUMBA
Come join us and party yourself into shape! Zumba is an exhilarating, effective, easy to follow, calorie-blasting dance fitness-party. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats such as Salsa, Meringue, Cumbia, Calypso, Flamenco, Axe, Cha Cha, Bellydancing, Hip Hop and more! Zumba is for all ages, shapes and sizes, no dance experience required. Zumba will leave you feeling energized and addicted... you will never have another reason to put off the gym again! ZUMBA.... Join the Party!
BOOTCAMP
Bootcamp is a military inspired workout that will push you to your limits! This is a high intensity full-body workout including cardio blasts, weights, and lots of core exercises to increase physical strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. Suitable for all fitness levels, you can pace yourself to accommodate your personal needs. Come incinerate body fat and increase lean muscle mass, leaving feeling invigorated!
YOGA
Taught in the Hatha yoga style: this class combines a classical blend of postures, breathing techniques and meditation to inspire a healthy
body and a peaceful uplifting of the mind. Often it is a mixture of Flow yoga (Vinyasana) promoting increased strength, stamina and flexibility, and Yin yoga (long receptive holds of Yin postures). It combines fundamentals from yoga basics with Sun Salutations A & B to relax the mind by mindfully flowing from one pose to the next linked with breath. Sessions are improvised and adapted to meet the level and need of students attending class. Props such as blocks, blankets, and straps available.
AEROBIC DRUMMING
Who knew real drum sticks and aerobic fit balls could be so much fun! Get ready to learn some real drumming rhythms and sweat at the same time. Experience a great core workout with low impact aerobic combinations combined with fun drumming rhythms and patterns.
CARDIO KICKBOXING
Cardio kickboxing is a high intensity full-body workout. Class begins with light stretching and a cardio warm up and typically includes varying combinations of punches, kicks, and other self-defense techniques. It's a fast and fun way to work on cardio conditioning as well as strength, coordination, and balance.
CIRCUIT/INTERVAL TRAINING
Circuit/interval training is a fast-paced cardio and strength training program that includes alternating bouts of high intensity work followed by lower intensity recovery periods, sometimes in a station format. For each period of work, you will push yourself to your maximum effort. There are many modifications for each station/movement in order to accommodate all levels of ability. It really is a choose your own adventure!
